In their short lives our pets give us all they can...
their friendship, unselfish love, and total loyalty.
There comes a time when we must give back to them...
their freedom, their peace and their dignity.

On January 8, 2004 we had to say good-bye to our beloved BattleCat. He had not eaten in two days (those of you who knew him
understand how unusual that is) so Susan took him to the College Park Animal Hospital.
They ran tests and confirmed that there was a substantial mass in his chest that was most likely cancer and had probably
come from another area in his body. They gave him IV fluids and meds to keep him comfortable. College Park Animal Hospital
was great - they allowed Susan to sit with BattleCat as long as she wanted. They truly understand the love we have for our
pets. He was still having problems eating and was not the BC we have known and loved for over 18 years. Three different Vets
agreed that the time had come.
We had him cremated and will mix his ashes with Greta, our pet dog and family member for 16 years.
